d is a horizontal shift left or right. The shift would be opposite of what you would think (- means shifted right) (+ means shifted left)
Ex. y=sin (x+3)
The graph would be shifted left three units.
*Note that -sin/cosx means there is a flip. You just need to flip the graph over the x axis.
